Step by Step Method
Step 1
Place water or both in a large bowl. Place potatoes in water in a microwave safe bowl. Cook potatoes in microwave until fork tender, stirring half-way through. Drain potatoes and allow to steam for a few minutes to dry.
Step 2
In a large bowl, stir together mayonnaise, wine, rosemary, garlic powder and cayenne or hot sauce.
Step 3
Towel-dry each potato completely then add potatoes to mayonnaise mix, then using your hands toss all the potatoes in the mayonnaise mixture.
Step 4
Place in the fridge for a few hours or up to 24 hours.
Step 5
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil grate.
Step 6
Remove potatoes from marinade, leave some marinade in the bowl to brush on when cooking on the grill.
Step 7
Place all the potatoes on wooden skewers (that have been soaked in cold water for 30 minutes). Grill, covered, for 6 to 8 minutes, brushing occasionally with any extra marinade, turning half-way through. Remove potatoes from skewers and serve hot.
