"When my sister-in-law opened up a seafood restaurant years ago, she introduced my DH and myself to seared tuna with a raw interior. Prior to that, tuna was always cooked well done. So now, I too cook the tuna like my sister-in-law. I came up with this marinade which enhances the flavor of the tuna.(DH and MIL likes the tuna seared with a raw center, however I like them medium rare so I place mine on the grill 4-5 minutes before I put the other tuna on)."

This is a great marinade with loads of flavor, however I was a little worried about keeping the fish in it for the full amount of time. I kept mine in there for about 6 hours then removed it. I was afraid it would cook the fish if I left it any longer. It was delicious and cooked perfectly with rare in the middle and beautifully seared on the outside. The way tuna is supposed to be eaten to be enjoyed!

These tuna steaks are so delicious on the grill! I made them for my first barbecue of the year for Memorial Day and they were a complete success with those that had them. I used a Mango Salsa that Puggs posted on top. They were so delicious!
