Grilled Strip Steak With Garlic Herb Butter

Step 1

Preheat grill to 550°F. Remove steaks from refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Pat dry, brush both sides with olive oil and season we with salt and pepper.

Step 3

Place steaks on grill, cooking 3-4 minutes. Flip steaks and cook another 3-4 minutes or until a meat thermometer shows an internal temperature of 145°F at thickest part. Remove from grill and allow steaks to rest 5 minutes.

Step 4

Put garlic, thyme, butter and Worcestershire in a small microwaveable dish. Heat to melt butter. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour over steaks.

I used a NY Strip Steak. There were mixed reviews.....2 for eating without the sauce and 2 loving the sauce. 5 Stars for steak....I love a grilled steak.

Oh yes this has wonderful flavour! The sauce is perfect for a grilled steak. I spooned some over each steak and took the bowl to the table. I rolled each piece of cut steak in the sauce before eating. Delightful! Another keeper! Thanks for sharing Teresa. Made for Billboard Recipe tag.

We loved these steaks! The hubby grilled and I made the butter only I ran out of black pepper so I used lemon pepper and left out the salt. Will be making these steaks again! Thank you Teresa for a new favorite! Made and reviewed for the FYC tag game.

Loved this delicious steak. The flavors from the grill always make things taste extra good! I cut the recipe down to 1 serving as it was just me tonight. I used NY sirloin and it was so tender! I made it on my gas grill tonight for dinner. It was excellent served with a spinach, walnuts, pear, goat cheese and craisin salad with Raspberry dressing. Will make again!
