  • When selecting shrimp, look for ones that are firm, moist, and odorless.
  • When picking jalapeno chilies, choose ones that are bright green in color and have smooth skin.

  • For the shrimp, you can substitute with scallops. Scallops are a good substitute for shrimp because they are similar in flavor, texture, and cook time. The benefit of this substitution is that it adds a different flavor to the dish while still keeping the overall recipe the same.
  • For the heavy whipping cream, you can substitute with coconut milk. Coconut milk is a good substitute because it is dairy-free and adds a sweet and creamy flavor to the dish. The benefit of this substitution is that it adds a unique flavor to the dish while still keeping the overall recipe the same.

I had no idea how to serve this tasty cream sauce...I decided on mixing it with Angel Hair Pasta...rice would also work ...I used homemade sliced pickled jalapenos and their juice...it was nice and spicy...we loved it...I didn't want to heat up the grill for such a short amount of time so I just did a quick cook of the shrimp in the pan I used for all the other ingredients...I down sized to two servings and it was the perfect amount...made for "FYC" tag game...
