Step 1

Place beans in a steamer basket over boiling water.

Step 2

Steam for about 6 minutes, until beans are tender crisp.

Step 3

While beans are steaming, cook bacon, onions and garlic over medium heat in a 10 inch non-stick skillet until bacon is crisp and onions are tender, about 5 minutes; be careful not to burn.

Step 4

Remove skillet from heat.

Step 5

Add honey mustard and lemon juice.

Step 6

Mix well.

Step 7

Add beans and stir to coat beans with onion-bacon mixture.

Step 8

Sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve immediately.

I love green beans...I love bacon...so I knew I would love this dish...I cooked my bacon and onions prior to cooking my beans...I really like my bacon crisp...I should have held back on the garlic a bit...live and learn...this is a very tasty dish...thanks for showing me another way to cook green beans...made for "Billboard" tag game...
