Step by Step Method

Step 1

Butter 9x13 cake pan.

Step 2

Layer in 1/2 of the potatoes.

Step 3

Sprinkle on 1/2 of the flour. Season with salt, pepper and paprika.

Step 4

Dot with 1/2 the butter. Sprinkle on 1/2 the onions, then cheese and the ham. Repeat.

Step 5

Put milk over. Cover with foil.

Step 6

Place on a cookie sheet.

Step 7

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Check to see if it needs more milk, ( looks dry) Uncover and bake 15 minutes more.

A fantastic casserole! I baked Elvis Presley's Favorite Baked Ham #22326 also posted by dienia b and used slices from that ham, yukon gold potatoes and more cheddar cheese. I could have added more milk while baking but that didnt take away from the flavor. Creamy and cheesy potatoes with nice bites of ham so good. Great way to use up leftover ham! Made and reviewed for the Autumn Fever 2019 event.
