Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 (2 1/4 pounds) potatoes (peeled and sliced thin)
  • 2 tablespoons grated yellow onion
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 135 grams ham (cubed or sliced thin, 1 cup)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • Paprika, dash

How to Make

  • Step 1: Butter 9x13 cake pan.

  • Step 2: Layer in 1/2 of the potatoes.

  • Step 3: Sprinkle on 1/2 of the flour. Season with salt, pepper and paprika.

  • Step 4: Dot with 1/2 the butter. Sprinkle on 1/2 the onions, then cheese and the ham. Repeat.

  • Step 5: Put milk over. Cover with foil.

  • Step 6: Place on a cookie sheet.

  • Step 7: Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Check to see if it needs more milk, ( looks dry) Uncover and bake 15 minutes more.
