"I found this recipe in a " Taste Of Home " Cookbook. The only change I used was to use butter flavored shortening instead of the butter.Tiffany Wegerer from Colwich, Kansas was the one that sent this into "Simple & Delicious". Submitted to " ZAZZ " on August 17th.,2012"

We enjoyed these potatoes...although we didn't find them exceptional...we were hoping for so much more...the hubby said...that my potatoes were just as good...and they are potatoes fried in shortening with salt and pepper...and that's it...my Mom's recipe....so I guess he didn't taste any of the added ingredients...nor did I...but they were good...made for "First Time" tag game....
