"A Penzey's recipe. You may also use pork ribs. It has a noticeable paprika flavor but it melded well with the rest of the spices. Yum. ALL my kids liked it!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°. Rinse the pork chops, pat dry and place in a 9x13 pan.

Step 2

Boil the 2 cups of water and onions for 15 minutes; drain. Layer the onions on top of the pork.

Step 3

Combine the spices and brown sugar and add the 2 T water; mix well. Spread the mixture over the cho9ps and onions.

Step 4

Bake at 350° for 1 hour, basting occasionally, until chops and onions are tender and nicely glazed.

We really enjoyed these chops! I halved the recipe, but I wish I had made the full amount of the seasonings. It needs a wee bit of salt to bring out all the flavours (IMO). I did not have dried sage..so used a couple of tablespoons of fresh chopped. Will definately be making this again, as it is fast and easy to put together and looks beauteous on the plate. Thank you so much for sharing!
