Step by Step Method
Step 1
In the large bowl of your electric mixer beat together the first 3 ingredients (molasses - butter) until mixture is smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients (- salt) and continue mixing until the dough is stiff. Gather into a bowl and wrap with waxed paper and chill for several hours or overnight.
Step 2
Roll out small portions of the dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into 3 inch rounds or shapes (we cut them into shapes).
Step 3
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8-10 minutes. Do not overbake!
Step 4
Makes 40-60 cookies depending on the size of your shapes.
