"This Arabic recipe came from my mother, Constance Wagner. The cookies turn out to be quite hard but can be softened in a tin with moisture enclosed. They keep well."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Mix all ingredients together. If too soft, add a little more flour. Mix well.
Step 2
Make into whatever shape desired. Traditionally ghurayba is shaped like a flat doughnut.
Step 3
Bake about 20 minutes or till lightly browned in moderate oven (325' F.).
