Step by Step Method

Step 1

Soak dried items in water for 3 hours.

Step 2

Drain.

Step 3

Add to pot with ham hock and veggies. (They said ham bone)

Step 4

They also added bologna, but I'm not, you can.

Step 5

Simmer 2 hours until beans are soft.

Step 6

Add water as needed, stirring occasionally.

Step 7

Remove bones from ham hock and chop ham and put back in.

Step 8

Season to taste.
