Step 1: Soak dried items in water for 3 hours.
Step 2: Drain.
Step 3: Add to pot with ham hock and veggies. (They said ham bone)
Step 4: They also added bologna, but I'm not, you can.
Step 5: Simmer 2 hours until beans are soft.
Step 6: Add water as needed, stirring occasionally.
Step 7: Remove bones from ham hock and chop ham and put back in.
Step 8: Season to taste.
