Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F.

Step 2

Cook pasta in heavily salted boiling water until al dente, drain.

Step 3

Meanwhile, brown and drain hamburger. (I would cook bacon 1st, add ground beef and onions)

Step 4

Remove.

Step 5

Lightly cook bacon, retain fat and cook onions until transparent and lightly season.

Step 6

Salt and pepper hamburger to taste.

Step 7

Add bacon, onion, tomatoes and juice, tomato sauce, and sugar (optional )to hamburger.

Step 8

Simmer for 30 minutes.

Step 9

Add cooked macaroni.

Step 10

Put into large, greased Pam sprayed 9x13 casserole and bake covered 1 hour.
