Even in the extreme heat, I still enjoy a warm meal. The crock pot solved that problem. I forgot and used my only apple for something else. The only other fruit I had in the house was apple butter. So I used 1/4 cup apple butter in place of the half cup apples. I'm sure it's sweeter tasting because of it. I'm going to be making it again this summer for sure.

Meatloaf from a crock pot ? I really wondered how this would turn out but when I say the recipe was by Axe I knew it would work.I cut the recipe back to 1 lband used Panko crumbs.Cut the cook time to 1 hr hot & 5 1/2 hours low. The only change I would make is to cut back on the crumbs and this may be becuse I used Panko crumbs instead of regular crumbs. I'll be making this gem again for sure.

wow what a success! had never made a meatloaf in the crockpot before and was a little worried. It turned out perfectly beautiful, loads of flaver, came out of the pot perfectly and sliced without falling apart!! Love the mustard brown sugar top, it melted right into the loaf to add great flavour. I did cut the sugar back to 2 tablespoons, and added a little powdered garlic; the touch of apple was wonderful. I will be making this again, great time saver for a busy day!!
