Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a bowl whisk eggs and sugar until completely combined and frothy. Mix in milk, flour, salt and baking powder. In a large heavy-bottomed pot pour in 3 inches of oil; heat the oil until hot.

Step 2

Pour batter into a funnel but use your finger to plug the hole.

Step 3

When the oil is hot slowly release your finger from the funnel, pouring the batter (from the funnel) into the hot oil moving the funnel around to make designs.

Step 4

Brown on both sides (this does not take long to brown)then immediately remove to paper towels to drain. Sprinkle confectioner's sugar over the top
