Frozen Herb and Butter Cubes
"Freezing you herbs is a great way to store them for later use, they can be placed in zip lock bags and are ready when you need them. This is a great way to add flavor when needed, you can use whatever herbs you choose such as basil, parsley, cilantro, chives oregano thyme or whatever you may have in abundance. Lemon and garlic, adds great flavors to the cubes, but is optional."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Using a bowl; add the softened butter and chopped herbs, garlic, lemon zest and salt.
Step 2
Mix butter and herbs together well and transfer the mixture to an ice cube tray. (I find silicone trays work well and make them easier to remove).
Step 3
Place the tray in the freezer and allow the butter mixture to freeze overnight or for a minimum of 8 hours.
Step 4
Once butter is frozen, remove the cubes from the ice cube trays and place them in a freezer-safe container, freezer-zip lock bags, or plastic bags.
Step 5
These will store well for approx 6- 8 months.
