Step 1: Using a bowl; add the softened butter and chopped herbs, garlic, lemon zest and salt.
Step 2: Mix butter and herbs together well and transfer the mixture to an ice cube tray. (I find silicone trays work well and make them easier to remove).
Step 3: Place the tray in the freezer and allow the butter mixture to freeze overnight or for a minimum of 8 hours.
Step 4: Once butter is frozen, remove the cubes from the ice cube trays and place them in a freezer-safe container, freezer-zip lock bags, or plastic bags.
Step 5: These will store well for approx 6- 8 months.
