  • When selecting shrimp, make sure to buy large shrimp that are raw, shelled, and deveined.
  • Try to use extra-virgin olive oil for the best flavor.

  • Instead of olive oil, use avocado oil. Avocado oil has a higher smoke point than olive oil, meaning it can be cooked at higher temperatures without burning. This can help prevent the shrimp from becoming overcooked.
  • Instead of red pepper flakes, use cayenne pepper. Cayenne pepper is spicier than red pepper flakes, and has a more intense flavor. This can help bring out the smokiness of the smoked paprika for a more flavorful dish.

Cajun Shrimp Replace the Tabasco sauce with Cajun seasoning and add 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Increase the red pepper flakes to 2 teaspoons. Replace the smoked paprika with smoked chili powder. Marinate for 8 to 12 hours.

: Roasted Potatoes

: Roasted potatoes are the perfect accompaniment to Fiery Shrimp. They are easy to make and pair well with the flavors of the shrimp. Roasting the potatoes in the oven with a bit of olive oil, garlic powder, and dried herbs will bring out their natural sweetness and create a delicious side dish.

Garlic Green Beans: Garlic green beans are a great side dish to accompany Fiery Shrimp. The garlic adds a nice flavor while the green beans provide a crunchy texture. The green beans are easy to make and can be cooked in a skillet with garlic, olive oil, and a pinch of salt. They are a great way to add more vegetables to the meal and will complement the shrimp nicely.

Fun facts:

Tabasco sauce was invented in 1868 by Edmund McIlhenny, a former banker from Louisiana. He was inspired by the traditional Mexican sauces made with peppers, vinegar, and salt.

The Actifry was created by the French company T-Fal in 2003. It was the first electric appliance to use just one spoon of oil and hot air to fry food.
