Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cook fettuccine in heavily salted boiling water until al dente, drain.
Step 2
While pasta is cooking, make sauce by melting butter in a saucepan on low heat.
Step 3
Remove butter from heat and blend in cream and cheese.
Step 4
Return to heat and simmer thoroughly, season with salt and pepper as desired, being careful not to let the sauce come to a boil.
Step 5
Add the sauce to the drained pasta and let stand, covered, for a couple of minutes.
Step 6
Garnish with parsley .
