  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 ounces heavy whipping cream (1/2 cup)
  • 2 ounces parmesan cheese, grated (1/4 cup)
  • Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, fresh, minced
  • 1 ounce parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook fettuccine in heavily salted boiling water until al dente, drain.

  • Step 2: While pasta is cooking, make sauce by melting butter in a saucepan on low heat.

  • Step 3: Remove butter from heat and blend in cream and cheese.

  • Step 4: Return to heat and simmer thoroughly, season with salt and pepper as desired, being careful not to let the sauce come to a boil.

  • Step 5: Add the sauce to the drained pasta and let stand, covered, for a couple of minutes.

  • Step 6: Garnish with parsley .
