Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a large soup pot, add the chicken, water, onion and spices.
Step 2
Bring to a boil.
Step 3
Simmer 90 minutes.
Step 4
Remove chicken, debone, remove skin and chop.
Step 5
Remove floating spices (clove, pods, bay leaf and cinnamon stick)
Step 6
Add chicken and rice back in.
Step 7
Cover simmer 30 minutes more.
Step 8
Stir in garnish right before serving.
Step 9
Season to taste.
