Step by Step Method
Step 1
Have all spices ready.
Step 2
Heat oil in large stock pot.
Step 3
Cook onions until translucent.
Step 4
Add beef and spices to taste, they add more but you may need just a dash.
Step 5
Cook until brown.
Step 6
Add rice and stir 2 minutes.
Step 7
Add frozen vegetables, water, juice and lime zest.
Step 8
Boil 5 minutes.
Step 9
Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
Step 10
Take off heat.
Step 11
In skillet fry nuts in ghee until light toasted.
Step 12
Pour over the top of the rice and cover.
Step 13
Let set 5 more minutes.
