"From the first making at one of our family gatherings this had all the family begging the recipe, have to love when family shares. Most of my family love having the rub generously applied and without sauce, me a lighter shaking rubbed in and finishing with a homemade barbecue sauce or slathered with Sweet Baby Rae. Posting to have the recipe at my fingertips come summer cookout time ... or when when we give it a go in the oven while waiting for warm and sunny. We make large batches to have plenty on hand. Rub should be left on for at least two hours or overnight."

Took minutes to make up a jar and used it on ribs for the grill. Love it!

We love homemade rubs and this is a keeper! Had everything on hand which made it fast and easy to put together. Used it on boneless, skinless chicken breasts. I dried the breasts and oiled them lightly before adding the rub. Baked in the oven. Thank you for sharing another of your wonderful recipes Gerry! Made for Billboard Recipe Tag. UPDATE 3/24/19: Always wonderful! Have used it on pork & chicken pieces too.
