"Living & grocery shopping in Iceland means accepting you'll be doing without a lot of the cooking convenience products that were ordinary for you in the US. Luckily many of these products can be self-made if you find a copycat recipe(s). Lipton Dry Onion Soup Mix is 1 of those products for me & I found 4 recipes w/a lot of ingredients in common plus some others I favored. So I blended my own version of them & this recipe was the result. I hope it will work as well for you as I know it will for me. :-)"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine all ingredients & store in an airtight container.

NOTE #1: The volume of the mixture is as close as I could get to servings equal to the pkg amt of the Lipton product, so use roughly half the volume in recipes calling for 1 pkg & then adjust as desired

NOTE #2: If you need to use bouillon cubes, 1 cube = 1 tsp granules. So 1/4 cup = 4 tbsp = 12 tsp = 12 bouillon cubes. Be sure you smash them well before combining w/the other ingredients of the mixture
