Step by Step Method
Step 1
Mix thoroughly butter, sugar, egg, chocolate, buttermilk, and vanilla.
Step 2
Mix in flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips. Chill 1 hour.
Step 3
Preheat oven to 400.
Step 4
To make icing: melt 2 chocolate with butter over low heat. Remove from heat and add in water and 2 cups icing sugar. Mix well.
Step 5
Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Step 6
Bake 10 minutes or until almost no imprint remains when touched with a finger.
Step 7
Immediately remove from baking sheet.
Step 8
Cool and spread with icing.
