Step by Step Method
Step 1
Place the dates in a food processor and pulse until they form a sticky paste-like consistency.

In a mixing bowl, combine the date paste, chopped almonds, honey, almond butter (if using), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
Step 3
Line a square baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
Step 4
Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press it down firmly and evenly using the back of a spoon or your hands.
Step 5
Place the dish in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 1 hour to firm up.
Step 6
Once chilled, remove the dish from the refrigerator and cut the mixture into bars or squares of your desired size.
