Step by Step Method
Step 1
Place pork shoulder in roasting pan.
Step 2
Place onions around the roast, top with minced garlic and seasonings.
Step 3
Cover, bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
Step 4
Uncover, bake at 350 degrees for another hour.
Step 5
Remove pork from pan, set aside.
Step 6
Pour drippings and onions into skillet on med-low.
Step 7
Sprinkle flour over, mix until you have a soft paste.
Step 8
Continue stirring constantly, after flour browns, add in water a cup at a time stirring constantly to fully incorporate.
Step 9
Continue cooking until mixture makes a smooth brown paste. Season with salt/pepper.
Step 10
Slice meat from bone, put in serving dish, pour gravy over the top.
