Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pound pork shoulder (bone-in)
  • Yellow onions (large onions, chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic, smashed
  • Salt, dash
  • Pepper, dash
  • Paprika, dash
  • 3 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups water

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place pork shoulder in roasting pan.

  • Step 2: Place onions around the roast, top with minced garlic and seasonings.

  • Step 3: Cover, bake at 350 degrees for one hour.

  • Step 4: Uncover, bake at 350 degrees for another hour.

  • Step 5: Remove pork from pan, set aside.

  • Step 6: Pour drippings and onions into skillet on med-low.

  • Step 7: Sprinkle flour over, mix until you have a soft paste.

  • Step 8: Continue stirring constantly, after flour browns, add in water a cup at a time stirring constantly to fully incorporate.

  • Step 9: Continue cooking until mixture makes a smooth brown paste. Season with salt/pepper.

  • Step 10: Slice meat from bone, put in serving dish, pour gravy over the top.
