Step 1

In a large skillet

Step 2

Saute the onion and mushrooms in the butter over med-high heat until the onion is translucent.

Step 3

Reduce heat to low

Step 4

And add the caraway seeds and spices

Stir in the flour until it is well combined and cook on low for 2 minutes.

Step 6

Add all remaining ingredients to the skillet

Step 7

And cook for about 5-7 minutes or until everything is heated through. May need to add a little milk if to thick .should be creamy .may need to add a tablespoon of juice at end

Step 8

Do not allow to boil.

This is just how my family makes it. The only difference is we add grated apple or apple sauce instead of sugar but not every apple is as sweet so it's hard to give a measurement to write a recipe.
