Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup onions,chopped
  • 8 ounces mushrooms,sliced
  • 1⁄4 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons caraway seeds
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 jar (32 ounce) sauerkraut, well drained, save some juice may need it
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/16 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoons salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large skillet

  • Step 2: Saute the onion and mushrooms in the butter over med-high heat until the onion is translucent.

  • Step 3: Reduce heat to low

  • Step 4: And add the caraway seeds and spices

  • Step 5: Stir in the flour until it is well combined and cook on low for 2 minutes.

  • Step 6: Add all remaining ingredients to the skillet

  • Step 7: And cook for about 5-7 minutes or until everything is heated through. May need to add a little milk if to thick .should be creamy .may need to add a tablespoon of juice at end

  • Step 8: Do not allow to boil.
