Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F. In a large mixing bowl combine the cheeses, Old Bay, pepper, cream and lemon juice. Use a firm whisk to mix until thoroughly incorporated.

Step 2

Place 1/4 of the dip into an ovenproof dish, cover with a layer of crab, then more dip. Continue until the dip is gone.

Step 3

Sprinkle the top with panko crumbs and bake 12-18 minutes until hot and bubbling. The bread crumbs should be golden brown.

Step 4

Remove from oven, let cool slightly, sprinkle with chives or scallions and enjoy with homemade toast points or crispy potato chips or favorite crackers.
