Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat your griddle.

Pour the boiling water over the cornmeal and mix well, then let cool slightly, about 10 minutes

Add the melted butter, milk, molasses and eggs and mix thoroughly.

Sift the flour, salt and baking powder together and stir into the cornmeal mixture quickly.
Step 5
Drop by spoonful on the hot griddle.

Brown on one side, then turn and brown the other side.
