Step 1: Preheat your griddle.
Step 2: Pour the boiling water over the cornmeal and mix well, then let cool slightly, about 10 minutes
Step 3: Add the melted butter, milk, molasses and eggs and mix thoroughly.
Step 4: Sift the flour, salt and baking powder together and stir into the cornmeal mixture quickly.
Step 5: Drop by spoonful on the hot griddle.
Step 6: Brown on one side, then turn and brown the other side.
