"I have had these apples at Cracker Barrel and I really believe these are the best thing on the menu! Fried in bacon grease...really? Yep! Can't taste it either. These taste just like the real deal! Sometimes I even add chopped walnuts or pecans to the pan the last 5 minutes of cooking so those are hot too!"

In a large skillet, melt bacon drippings.

Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
