Step by Step Method
Step 1
Brown beef and chopped onion in butter in a skillet. Stir in salt, pepper, seasoning to taste.
Step 2
Cook until onions are translucent, drain if needed.
Step 3
Add tomato sauce and remove from heat.
Step 4
Boil noodles until al dente and drain.
Step 5
Add cream cheese while hot.
Step 6
Combine cottage cheese, sour cream and green onion.
Step 7
Add to noodles and season to taste.
Step 8
Put in a 3 quart casserole and cover with 1/2 the cheese noodle mixture.
Step 9
Pour 1/2 the ground beef mixture over top.
Step 10
Repeat layers.
Step 11
(Can add cheese toppings I've seen cheddar and mozzarella)
Step 12
Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
