"Sometimes it's a part of a recipe that intrigues me & makes my mind race w/its potential uses. That was the case w/this tiny "partial" recipe by Jamie Oliver. It was his take on a topping for panna cotta, but I was having visual fantasies of my own. I saw it drizzled over vanilla ice cream or pound cakes, rice or bread pudding, pancakes or waffles for a fancy brunch touch, etc. Need I go on? ENJOY!"

Step 1

Combine the ingredients in a sml saucepan over med heat. Bring to a slow boil, then reduce heat to low & cook for 10-12 min until thickened. Test by placing a sml amt on a chilled plate – If it thickens, it’s ready. Cool before use as your fantasies dictate.

Step 2

NOTE #1: Frankly, estimating the # of servings is a little problematic. JO said 6 when he applied it to his panna cotta, so I went w/that. BUT I'd expect the yield to be more servings & largely a reflection of individual usage.

Step 3

NOTE #2: When making my choices in the "DIET" section, 3 options were not enough. I opted to ck No Eggs & Non-Dairy, but this recipe is LOW just about everything so ck the Nutritional Data if that's relevant to you.
