Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Step 2
Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Step 3
Cut in shortening until crumbly.
Step 4
Mix wet ingredients together.
Step 5
Pour into flour mixture and mix until just combined.
Step 6
Pat out on floured board, cut biscuits out straight down don't turn with 2 inch glass or biscuit cutter.
Step 7
Place the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 3/4 inch apart for crispier edges, or closer together for softer biscuit.
Step 8
Bake in a very hot oven (450°F) for 10 to 14 minutes, or until they’re golden brown.
