How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl.

  • Step 3: Cut in shortening until crumbly.

  • Step 4: Mix wet ingredients together.

  • Step 5: Pour into flour mixture and mix until just combined.

  • Step 6: Pat out on floured board, cut biscuits out straight down don't turn with 2 inch glass or biscuit cutter.

  • Step 7: Place the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 3/4 inch apart for crispier edges, or closer together for softer biscuit.

  • Step 8: Bake in a very hot oven (450°F) for 10 to 14 minutes, or until they’re golden brown.
