Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Step 1

In a large bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until creamy. Beat in sugar and brown sugar, egg, baking soda, baking powder and vanilla until well blended.

Step 2

Mix in flour in small portions until all is combined.

Step 3

Create 1 inch balls of dough, placing them 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Dip fork into flour and press fork into cookies, flattening them in a criss cross pattern.

Step 4

Bake at 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes, one cookie sheet at a time. Cool on wire racks.

These made a wonderful snack for us tonight. Boys were waiting while the first batch cooked. They said they were going to eat all of them by morning. We shall see.

Just like Grandma used to make (Mom wasn’t a baker, her cookies were usually store bought). Still one of my favorite cookies and pretty easy recipe. Will be making these again.
