Step by Step Method
Step 1
Melt chocolate squares in 6 tablespoons water over very low heat, stirring till smooth. A double boiler works best.
Step 2
Add sugar and salt.
Step 3
Cook and stir until smooth and slightly thickened.
Step 4
Stir in butter and vanilla.
Step 5
This makes 1 cup.
