"Rich chocolate brownies & decadent chocolate frosting,what more could you want ? Perhaps a glass of milk to go with them ;)The original recipe called for one Tablespoon of honey or corn syrup to mix in with the frosting ingredients,but I felt it was perfectly sweet without it.The time it takes to make the frosting is included in the prep time.Cooling time is not include,so plan ahead.Posted to " ZAZZ " on 2/8/15. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine flour,cocoa powder,baking powder,and salt into a small bowl and set aside.
In a large bowl,stir together sugar,melted butter,and vanilla.
Add eggs and beat well with mixer.
Now with spoon,stir in flour mixture(if using nuts add at this time).
Pour into a 8 x 8 inch pan with has been prepared with cooking spray.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until edges slightly pull away from sides of pan( I also tested with a toothpick).
Cool completely on wire rack.
For frosting,mix together cocoa powder,softened butter,and vanilla until well blended.
Gradually add powdered sugar and milk,blend until desired consistency is reached.
Frost brownies and cut into 16 squares.
