"The name "Duck Sauce" was created in the United States. It became popular as a dip for any food, from Spareribs and Egg Rolls to almost anything else imaginable. I have been making this for years and wanted to share it with you. It is delicious and a great addition to your condiments list for everyday cooking, especially Chinese dishes and appetizers. It makes about 4 (12 ounce) bottles. PLEASE NOTE: Chinese Plum Sauce and Sambal Oelek can be bought in Asian grocery stores. Some supermarkets and specialty stores also stock it in the International isle. From "Madame Chu's Chinese Cooking School," by Grace Zia Chu, Fireside, 1975. Yield 48 ounces"
