Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over high heat and add the garlic and zest and cook for 1 minute and then add the tuna and toss to combine and then remove from the heat and set aside.

Step 2

While the tuna mixture is cooking, cook the pasta in a large saucepan of salted boiling water for 3 minutes or until al dente and then drain, reserving 1/2 cup (125ml) of the cooking water.

Step 3

Add the pasta and reserved cooking water to the tuna mixture and toss to combine and then add the lemon juice and toss to combine.

Step 4

Divide between bowls and sprinkle with dill to serve.

Step 5

TIPS: fresh pasta varieties were used, which are available from selected supermarkets, specialty grocers and delicatessens. If you can’t find fresh flavoured pastas, plain dried varieties also work – follow the cooking times on the packet.

This is such and fast and easy pasta! As we can not get the tuna with chilli here...I used plain tuna and added fresh finely chopped chilli. We enjoyed the heat and flavours of the lemon and dill! Thank you for sharing Pat! Made for Billboard Recipe Tag.
