"I don't know how anyone could eat the stuff out of the can, but this makes a darn good chili dog, make certain to use large beef hot dogs. Add in hot sauce or chili pepper flakes for heat"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onion or onion powder and garlic stirring constantly to break up all the clumps into fine pieces.

Step 2

Add the mild chili sauce, chili seasoning, water, Worcestershire and mustard. Bring to a boil, lower the heat, and simmer for 30 minutes. Season with salt.

Step 3

Meanwhile, boil the hot dogs according to package instructions (I like min grilled). Place hot dogs in buns, top with chili, cheddar cheese, and chopped white onion. Serve with French Fries.

Wonderful messy delish chili dog. Will make this again for sure. The new Walla Walla onions are in and they were perfect on the dog. Thanks for a great Saturday Night dinner.

Fantastic! I used jumbo kosher beef franks and cooked the chili a little longer, so good we thought we were eating at a Deli, thanks so much!
