Step 1: In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onion or onion powder and garlic stirring constantly to break up all the clumps into fine pieces.
Step 2: Add the mild chili sauce, chili seasoning, water, Worcestershire and mustard. Bring to a boil, lower the heat, and simmer for 30 minutes. Season with salt.
Step 3: Meanwhile, boil the hot dogs according to package instructions (I like min grilled). Place hot dogs in buns, top with chili, cheddar cheese, and chopped white onion. Serve with French Fries.
