Step by Step Method
Step 1
Using a 1 quart mason jar, fill about 3/4 full of tart cherries, either pitted or whole.
Step 2
Layer the cherries with sugar as you put them in the jar.
Step 3
Fill jar with your choice of alcohol until almost full.
Step 4
Tighten the lid on the jar and shake to help incorporate the sugar
Step 5
Store in a dry, dark area for 3-6 months (longer the better).
Step 6
Enjoy over the holidays or all year round!
