Step by Step Method

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Butter gratin dish
Step 3
Pam spray dish
Step 4
Chop the ham and place in the bottom of the dish.

Put tomato slice

Chop all but the top 1 1/2" of the asparagus spears. Par cook the asparagus using a pyrex liquid measure with 1/2 cup water, microwave about 90 seconds.(softened) tips on top

Drain and place the chopped asparagus in the bottom of the dish with the ham and tomato, reserving the tips.
Step 8
Shred enough Gouda cheese to lightly cover the ham and asparagus.
Step 9
Create two holes in the cheese.
Step 10
Crack two eggs into a bowl.
Step 11
Pour the eggs over the cheese, being careful not to break the egg yolks.
Step 12
Place the asparagus tops across the top between the two eggs.
Step 13
Pour enough heavy cream to lightly cover the eggs.
Step 14
Place the egg dish in a larger baking pan with a water bath ,about 3/4th the way up the side of the egg dish.
Step 15
Bake for 45 minutes.
