Step by Step Method
Step 1
Butter 8 x 8 casserole.
Step 2
Cook turnips in boiling salted water for 20 minutes.
Step 3
Drain.
Step 4
Add 1 teaspoon sugar to the turnip as well as 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5
Arrange in casserole alternately with the celery.
Step 6
Pour on the cream sauce and cover with buttered crumbs.
Step 7
Bake at 400 degrees F. until crumbs are browned.
