Step 1: Butter 8 x 8 casserole.
Step 2: Cook turnips in boiling salted water for 20 minutes.
Step 3: Drain.
Step 4: Add 1 teaspoon sugar to the turnip as well as 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5: Arrange in casĀserole alternately with the celery.
Step 6: Pour on the cream sauce and cover with butĀtered crumbs.
Step 7: Bake at 400 degrees F. until crumbs are browned.
